Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions set out the basis upon which Care2Give will supply the Charity Key Recovery Service to you.

1. In these terms and conditions:

"Charity" means the charity whose name is shown on the KeyRing.

"Key Ring" means the key tag containing the Charity's name/image and/or logo on one side and the Unique Reference Number and Care2Give Freepost address and Helpline number on the other side.

"Helpline" means the telephone helpline supported by us to answer any queries you may have in relation to the Key Recovery Service.

"Key Recovery Service" means the free key recovery service outlined in these terms and conditions.

"Term" means the period that the Key Recovery Service will be provided, being 5 years from the date that you signed the Pledge Form subject to the provisions of clauses 3 & 6 .

"Pledge Form" means the pledge form signed by you containing the Direct Debit authorisation to make payments to the Charity.

"Unique Reference Number" means the reference number that links your contact data to your Key Ring on our systems.

"we" & "us" means Care2Give Limited, and our sub-contractors.

"you" means the Donor who has received the Key Ring from the Charity.

"Working Days" any day when the Bank of England is open for business.

2. The Charity has asked us to give you the Key Ring on their behalf as a thank you for completing a Pledge Form in their favour.

3. Provided you continue to make donations to the Charity under the Pledge Form, you will be eligible for the Key Recovery Service provided by us for the Term. The provision of this service does not affect the amount of your donation received by the Charity. This service is provided by us at no additional cost to the Charity as part of our fundraising arrangements with it.

4. There is no payment due by you to us in respect of the Key Recovery Service.

5. The Key Recovery Service is available to you as soon as you receive your Key Ring [It takes up to 3 Working Days to register your details on our system, so if you call our Helpline before then we will not be able to access your information.]

6. We will cancel the Key Recovery Service automatically and without notice to you if you do not make a donation to the Charity within 90 days of the sign date of your Pledge Form or cancel your Direct Debit to the Charity at any time. In addition you may terminate the Key Recovery Service at any time on giving notice to us by email. The Key Recovery Service will automatically terminate on the 5th anniversary of the date which you signed your Pledge Form. On termination we will deactivate your Unique Reference Number. We will not be under any obligation to return Keys received by us once the Key Recovery Service is terminated. Any keys returned in connection with a terminated service will be disposed of by us.

7. The Key Recovery Service will only be provided to you while you are resident in the UK and keys will only be returned to you at a UK address.

8. If you attach the Key Ring to your keys, in the event that keys are lost and found by a third party, that person will be able to see that they can be returned to the owner by using the Freepost address provided.

9. We will telephone you upon receipt of your keys and will confirm with you, following the completion of appropriate security checks, the address to which the keys should be sent. It is your responsibility to keep the details of the security checks secret. It is our preference not to send the keys to the address for which they operate the locks, however, on completion of the relevant security checks we will send your keys to the address that you request.. If we cannot reach you by telephone, email or letter within 14 days of receiving your keys, we will keep your keys in a safe place until you contact us. Keys will be held for a maximum period of 180days from the date of receipt after which they will be disposed of by us.

10. It is your responsibility to ensure that you notify us of any change of address (which you can do by telephoning the Helpline on 0800 8407220 or writing to us at the following e-mail address, info@care2give.co.uk). This will keep our records up to date.

11. We will return your keys to you without disclosing personal information concerning either the finder or you to one another. Provided that the Key Recovery Service has not been terminated we will also return the Key Ring that has been allocated to you.

12. This Service only applies to keys and we have no obligation to keep or return any other item to which you may attach the KeyRing.

13. If your keys and Key Ring are not found, on request and provided you are still making donations to the charity under the Pledge Form we will provide you with a replacement Key Ring (up to a maximum of three times) with a new Unique Reference Number. We will then deactivate any earlier Unique Reference Number. We accept no other responsibility or liability in respect of any damage or loss incurred in connection with the loss of either the Key Ring or your keys.

14. By accepting the Key Ring you consent to our processing your personal data for the above purposes. We will take all reasonable steps to maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure that we store your personal information safely. If the Key RecoveryService is cancelled for any reason we will remove your personal information from our records for the Key Recovery Service within 3 months.

15. If for any reason the Charity terminates its l arrangements with us, they will write to you to notify you of this fact. We will terminate the Key Recovery Service 60 days after the date of termination of our arrangements with the Charity. We will not be responsible to you for any loss or damage suffered by you in connection with such termination or a failure by the Charity to notify you that our arrangements with them have been terminated.

16. We reserve the right to change, add to or modify the terms of the provision of the Key Recovery Service or to cease to provide the Key Recovery Service on one month's written notice to you.

17. By accepting and using the Key Ring you acknowledge and accept that our only obligation to you is to return your keys in accordance with the provisions of the Key Recovery Service. We are not liable to you for any costs losses damages or claims suffered or incurred by you in connection with the loss of your keys. Nothing in these terms and condition seek to limit or exclude our liability to you in connection with death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Other Information

You may cancel your Direct Debit to the Charity at anytime by contacting the Charity or by writing directly to your bank.
